Sketch a Day in May

Are you a sketcher? Would like to be?  Just enjoy it?
Does it help you relax, think about things, reflect on what you have been doing?

 I give you a challenge.

Sketch a Day In May This May, I would like to encourage everyone to take part in a challenge.

The challenge is to share a sketch every day (or most) in May. We can keep track of these by posting our sketches to our seesaw accounts.  (put into #sketchadayinmay16 folder). We can share these at school if you would like to.

I would like to encourage everyone to sketch something they have been reading, thinking about, trying out, observing, questioning, exploring, reflecting on, working on that day.

Sketches are great for this purpose – they don’t take an hour to write (although you are absolutely welcome to craft it for as long as you want). The quality of the sketch doesn’t matter – it’s not our drawing talent we are sharing, it’s our ideas and thoughts. If you are worried about what your sketches look like, perhaps this task will help you develop more creative confidence over the month as well.

You can do it on a scrap of paper, a sketch book, an app, anything.  You can make them into a book, post them to your seesaw as you go or share them later.

If this excites you give it a go!

Warrior Visitors

What an exciting visit we had from some of the Warriors

They were in Wellington to play the Canterbury Bulldogs.  ( and they won 24-20)

They came to talk to us about getting a good sleep, keeping ourselves hydrated and belonging to groups.

We found out that:
- kids need 11 hours sleep per night
- we need to drink water throughout the day
- and belonging to groups and being part of a team helps us feel good.

playing heads and tails .... to win

so keen to answer quiz questions

time for autographs

and questions

the ball that was won got signed.
